“My son was born with a cleft palate, he was operated on shortly after birth, the operation was a total success and during the various meetings he had with the surgeon who was following his progress I got to know of Emergenza Sorrisi’s activities. It seemed right and natural to me to take an active part in all their awareness and fund-raising campaigns. I often organise events and small initiatives to put the spotlight on a pathology that can be resolved in Western countries, but can be crippling in developing countries.”
